Union Leader Supports Libby

 Libby Davies works for working people

Vancouver – The Communications, Energy and Paperworkers Union of Canada announces today its support for NDP candidate Libby Davies in the riding of Vancouver East.

“Sister Davies has worked very hard for working people in the riding,” states Dave Coles, CEP Vice President.  “We strongly encourage our members and all people in the riding of Vancouver East to re-elect Libby Davies.”

“Libby has been a friend and ally of mine and of our union for a long time now,” continues Coles.  “From her work with DERA and the HEU to her work since 1997 as an MP, Libby has earned the support and respect from the CEP.”

The Communications, Energy and Paperworkers Union of Canada represents 162,000 members from coast to coast including 12,000 members in BC.
