CEP Press Release Premier’s Task Force on Forest Development
Defining process on sale of pulp and paper facility
Organization: Premier’s Task Force on Forest Development
Email: info@saskforestcentre.ca
Released: November 21, 2005
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – November 21, 2005
The Task Force has become aware that several inquiries are being received by groups that are unrelated and unable to assist interested parties in either providing information on the pulp and paper facility in Prince Albert or on the process of sale. Requests for information have come from interested firms that range from small to large, from Canadian to international, and from single to multiple product oriented. The first point of engagement for serious inquiries should be directed to Weyerhaeuser.
The sale of the pulp and paper mill in Prince Albert is the responsibility of Weyerhaeuser as the owners of the facility. The Task Force has been informed that Weyerhaeuser will be providing a business information package this week that will be available to any interested and serious potential purchasers. The information can be used by potential purchasers to determine the productivity and profitability of the facility and to make informed decisions on whether to further pursue a purchasing process with the company.
For information on the sale of the Weyerhaeuser Prince Albert Pulp and Paper Mill, please contact:
