The CEP members at NPG Envelope in Winnipeg today approved a new three-year collective agreement that increases the average pay by 21 per cent over the life of the contract.
The 45 employees, represented by CEP Local 830, will receive basic wage increases of 3 ½ %, 2 ½ % and 2 ½ % in the three year agreement, which expires in October 2009. Additionally, new wage grids with new progressions give hourly increases of about $0.65 per hour every six months for many of the employees.
The new deal also strengthens the seniority clause for full-time employees and ensures overtime is distributed according to seniority. Members ratified the agreement in a vote held today.
